In Sangareddy, the public speech by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at the BRS’ public meeting in Sulthanpur on Tuesday was met with great enthusiasm from the gathered crowd.
During his address, Rao expressed concerns over alleged police suppression of BRS activists, which he attributed to the influence of the Congress government. He urged officials to uphold independence and adhere strictly to regulations.
Rao’s statement about the potential return of the BRS to power received a strong reaction from the audience. He highlighted instances where BRS cadre vehicles were reportedly stopped en route to the meeting venue, citing the case of BRS worker Salvaji Madhava Rao from Karimnagar, who was allegedly jailed for a social media post.
Rao called for an inquiry into the matter, urging Director General of Police Ravi Guptha to take action. Meanwhile, NH-161 was adorned with pink as a large number of BRS supporters headed to the meeting venue, with vehicles lining the highway and BRS flags flying high as cadre members marched towards the gathering.
The event attracted a massive crowd, including nearly one lakh individuals from Narsapur, Sangareddy, Andole, Zaheerabad, Narayankhed, and other areas.
